Not Me I Think

http://www.drsharma.ca/we-dont-know-much-about-obesity.html

It's not me that he quotes. I do not even agree with the statement; I would say "the only way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more. The trick is getting myself to do that." No sugar, grains, omega 6 oils, dairy, is a start. No hyperpalatable foods also helps. A boring diet with adequate fat, protein, and lots of greens is part of the solution. Keeping busy at stuff we enjoy but are not food friendly is another big part.

We may enjoy TV and video games but these are food friendly. Lots of none food friendly places make also help. Simply recognizing that not eating (meal skipping) is healthy also, if we are obese. This may also goes against our culture, and the advise of the fat nutritionist.

Never take weight loss diet advise from a fat person, unless they are losing weight.

Getting around the starving portion is possible during the rapid at loss phase by eating no sugar, grains or dairy; nothing that will cause insulin generation, allowing fat to come out of the fat cells easily. The remainder of the body does know where the fat is coming from, therefore no starvation. To feed the gut we will need to eat fat 3 or 4 times a day.

But then there are the other 150 different “reasons to eat”, feeling deprived is one. Opening up to feel a bit of gratitude for life and the other wonders, even for the available real foods today may reduce the feeling of deprivation. To each negative thought, there is a work around to relieve that thought.
Most people, the wild humans, still need to want to do the work. Most of society lives in happy blissful pre-contemplation of any change of lifestyle.
