So food addiction is blind, deaf and driven. So some foods digest into opioid peptides and that is what drives food addiction. Back to beef and cabbage I guess.
There are a few good lines in this one:

If we take that to heart, maybe we will start giving the addicted what they need to get their lives back under control.
So there is no solution offered.... other than just do it and suffer the rest of your life.

Ha! "Beef & cabbage" - our Sunday night dinner was steak w/Brussel sprouts which was good, but vaguely unsatisfying. (as usual, I could have done w/something sweet) Maybe if I starve my sweet tooth long enough, it will wither away & die...
ReplyDeleteFood addiction is at it's top currently. I have seen so many people who know they are obese but still can't control the cravings. Your article is really going to help some of the people in need.
